Demolition and selective tear-out

Demolition contractor in Austin who tears out clean and hauls it away

Interior demo and selective tear-out done by hand, with the rooms you keep protected. Owner Alberto Salazar quotes the job and works the site.

Interior demolition and selective tear-out

Most renovations start the same way. Something has to come out before anything better goes in. That is where a demolition contractor in Austin earns their keep, and it is work H&H Pro Services does by hand, room by room.

We handle interior demo and selective tear-out. That means we remove exactly what the plan calls for and leave the rest standing. No swinging a sledge at a whole house when you only need the kitchen gone.

This is for homeowners at the front of a renovation, or anyone clearing space down to the framing so a new build-out can start. If the next step is new tile, new cabinets, or a fresh floor, the tear-out is step one.

Kitchen and bath gut-outs

Cabinets, counters, old fixtures, and finishes pulled back to the studs and subfloor so the remodel starts on a clean surface.

Flooring and old tile removal

Tile, thinset, and old flooring taken up down to a sound substrate. Old tile is stubborn and messy, and removing it right is half the job on any re-tile.

Wall and cabinet removal

Non-structural walls and built-ins taken out to open up a floor plan or free up square footage for the rebuild.

Selective, not scorched-earth

We tear out only what the scope calls for. If a wall, floor, or run of cabinets stays, it stays protected and untouched.

How we demo clean

Demo has a bad reputation for a reason. Done carelessly, it wrecks the rooms you are keeping and buries the site in dust. We work the other way. The goal is a clean tear-out that hands off ready for the next trade.

Alberto is on site for the work, so the crew is accountable to the person who quoted the job. Nothing gets rushed or hidden behind a wall you cannot see.

Protect what stays

Floors, doorways, and finished areas that are not part of the tear-out get covered and masked off before the first thing comes down.

Dust and debris control

We contain the dust instead of letting it drift through the whole house, and we keep debris bagged and stacked as we go instead of letting it pile up.

Care around plumbing and electrical

Lines and fixtures behind the walls and floors get treated with care so a simple tear-out does not turn into a plumbing or wiring problem.

Awareness of load-bearing walls

Before a wall comes out, it gets checked. A load-bearing wall is not something you find out about after it is already on the floor.

Haul-off and disposal

The debris leaves with us. You are not left staring at a pile of old tile and cabinets in the driveway waiting on a dumpster.

Demo is the first step of a good renovation

A clean tear-out is worth more when the same crew is still there when the new work goes in. When demo and finish are two different companies, the seam between them is where problems hide and nobody wants to own them.

H&H Pro Services runs demo through finish. The crew that pulls out your old kitchen is the crew that can tile the backsplash, set the floor, and close it back up. One accountable team, start to end, with Alberto quoting and running the job.

So the tear-out is not a standalone chore. It is the opening move of the renovation, planned with the finished result already in mind.

One crew, demo through finish

Tile, backsplash, renovations, and home improvements handled by the same team that did the demo.

Nothing falls through the cracks

No handoff between a demo company and a remodel company. What gets torn out is torn out with the rebuild in mind.

Questions

Answered straight.

Do you handle haul-off and disposal?+
Yes. Haul-off and disposal are part of the job, not an extra you arrange yourself. We bag and stack debris as we tear out, then it leaves with us. You are not left with a driveway full of old tile and cabinets waiting on a dumpster.
Can you demo just one room or a single wall?+
Yes. This is selective tear-out, so we remove exactly what the plan calls for and leave the rest standing. A single kitchen, one bathroom, a run of old flooring, or one non-structural wall are all normal jobs. If a wall might be load-bearing, we check before anything comes out.
Do you check for load-bearing walls and permits?+
Before a wall is removed, we look at whether it is carrying load, because that changes the whole approach. Some demolition and structural work in Austin also requires a permit depending on scope. Alberto will walk the job with you and be straight about what the work involves before it starts.
How long does demo take?+
A single bathroom or a small tile removal can be a day or so, while a full kitchen gut-out or several rooms runs longer. The real answer depends on square footage, how much is coming out, and what is behind the walls. We give you a realistic window when we quote the job, not a guess over the phone.
What drives the cost of demolition?+
The main factors are how much material is coming out, the type of material, and how hard it is to remove and haul. Old tile and thinset, layered flooring, and tight access all take more labor than an open, simple tear-out. Volume of debris and disposal also matter. Alberto quotes each job after seeing it, so the price fits the actual work instead of a generic rate.
