WESTLAKE RENOVATIONS

Home renovation in Westlake, Austin, run by one accountable crew

The owner quotes your job and is on site while it gets built. No disappearing crew, no job handed off to strangers halfway through. One team from demo to the final walk.

The renovation problem in west Austin, and how we remove it

Most homeowners in Westlake have heard the same story. A company wins the job, sends a polished salesperson, then subs the whole project out to whoever is cheap that month. The people who show up are not the people you hired. When something goes wrong, nobody owns it.

H&H Pro Services works differently because we are small on purpose. Alberto Salazar, the owner, walks your home, writes the quote, and is on site while the work happens. The crew that starts your renovation is the crew that finishes it. When you have a question about a wall, a tile line, or a change you want to make, you talk to the person who can actually decide.

That accountability is the whole point. A renovation is months of your life inside your own house. You should know exactly who is responsible for every cut, every joint, and every finish.

One crew, start to finish

The same team handles demo, tile, finishes, and coordination. No revolving door of unfamiliar subs walking through your home.

Owner on site

Alberto quotes the job and works it. Decisions get made in person, not relayed through a call center.

Straight answers

You hear what a job actually takes, including the parts behind the walls that other bidders leave out to look cheaper.

A renovation in Westlake, being documented as it happens

Right now we have a renovation in progress in Westlake. It is a real, active job, and we are documenting it stage by stage as the work moves through the house.

We are showing this openly because a new, owner-operated company should prove itself by the work in front of you, not by claims about the past. You can see how a room goes from demo to substrate prep to finished surface, and you can judge the craftsmanship on its own.

We are not going to tell you it is finished when it is not, and we are not going to borrow someone else's project and call it ours. What we can show you is the work happening now, honestly, as it comes together.

What a renovation with H&H covers

A renovation touches surfaces, fixtures, and the systems behind them all at once, which is exactly why it needs one crew that keeps the sequence straight. We coordinate the trades in-house so the work lands in the right order and nothing gets buried before it is ready.

The details below are where a renovation is won or lost. A tiled shower that leaks in two years failed at the waterproofing, not the tile. A floor that telegraphs every seam failed at the substrate. We build for the parts you cannot see.

Kitchens and bathrooms

The rooms a renovation turns on. New layouts, tile, fixtures, and the waterproofing behind the walls done in the right order so the finish actually lasts.

Tile, backsplash, and flooring

Substrate leveling first, then waterproofing behind wet walls, then layout planned so grout joints run clean and cuts land in the right places, not fighting a doorway or an outlet.

Cabinets, walls, and drywall

Cabinet sets, wall changes, and drywall repair and finish, so the surfaces around the new work read built, not patched.

HVAC coordinated in-house

Heating and cooling planned alongside the build instead of bolted on at the end, so ductwork, returns, and airflow fit the renovated layout.

How we run a renovation

A renovation runs on sequence and communication. Here is how we keep both under control from the first visit to the last.

You are never guessing where the job stands. The scope is written down, the crew executing it is the crew you met, and we close the project by walking it together.

1. Walkthrough

Alberto walks the house with you, listens to what you want, and looks at the real conditions, including what is behind the walls and under the floors.

2. Written scope and timeline

You get the work spelled out in writing, in the order it will happen, so there are no surprises about what is included or when it lands.

3. The same crew executes

The team that quoted and planned the job is the team on site. Nothing gets handed off to strangers midway through.

4. Final walk together

We close the renovation by walking every room with you, checking the finishes, the joints, and the details, and handling anything that needs another pass.

Questions

Answered straight.

What kind of renovations do you take on?+
Kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, tile and backsplashes, cabinets, and wall and drywall work, from a single room to a multi-room renovation. We have a renovation in progress in Westlake right now. A bigger project just means more trades to keep in sequence, which is exactly why having one accountable crew matters. Alberto will scope your job honestly and tell you what the space actually needs.
Do you handle permits?+
Permit requirements depend on the scope of the work and the city or jurisdiction your home sits in. During the walkthrough we talk through what your specific renovation involves and what that means for permitting so nothing catches you off guard. We would rather flag that early than discover it mid-project. Ask Alberto directly and you will get a straight answer for your job.
What affects how long a renovation takes?+
Timeline comes down to scope, the condition of what is behind the walls, how many trades are involved, and how quickly selections and materials come together. A single tiled bathroom moves fast; a full kitchen moving through demo, finishes, and HVAC takes longer because the work has to happen in the right order. Surprises found during demo, like old plumbing or a substrate that has to be rebuilt, can add time. We put the expected sequence in writing so you can see how the weeks lay out.
Do you sub the work out or self-perform?+
The core renovation work is done by our own crew, and that is the whole point of hiring us. The team that quotes your job is the team on site doing demo, tile, finishes, and coordinating the systems. You will not hire us and then meet a rotating cast of unfamiliar subs. When a project needs a specialized trade, it is coordinated in-house and stays accountable to us.
Can I see work in progress before I commit?+
Yes, and we encourage it. We are documenting our current Westlake renovation stage by stage precisely so you can judge the craftsmanship as it happens rather than take our word for it. Because we are a new, owner-operated company, we would rather show you real work in progress than make claims about finished jobs. Ask Alberto and he will walk you through what we are building right now.
