HVAC REPAIR IN AUSTIN
HVAC repair in Austin, done right the first time
If your air conditioning quit in the middle of a Texas summer, call first. H&H Pro Services LLC handles HVAC and air conditioning repair, routine service, and full system replacement across greater Austin. The owner quotes the job and is on site.
Call (512) 954-0407 for HVAC repair in Austin
When the air stops moving in July, the fastest path to a cool house is a phone call. Reach H&H Pro Services LLC directly at (512) 954-0407 and talk through what your system is doing. Alberto Salazar, the owner, is the one who answers questions and looks at the unit.
We cover the full range of HVAC work: diagnosing and repairing what broke, seasonal service to keep a system running clean, and install and replacement when a unit is past saving. We also handle the mechanical side of renovations, so ductwork, registers, and equipment placement get done as part of the remodel instead of as a scramble at the end.
This is an owner-operated company. That means the person quoting your repair is the person doing the work, not a call center passing you to whoever is free.
Repair
Diagnose why the system is not cooling and fix the cause, from a failed capacitor or contactor to a blower motor, a clogged condensate line, or a refrigerant issue.
Service
Seasonal maintenance to keep an existing system running: coil cleaning, filter and airflow checks, and looking at the parts that fail before they leave you without HVAC.
Install and replacement
When a unit is done, we handle the swap, size the equipment to the house, and set it up so it actually performs.
Mechanical inside renovations
HVAC work built into a remodel: ductwork, returns, and equipment coordinated with the rest of the job.

Texas summer means call first
An Austin summer does not give a broken air conditioner much grace. Attics push past 130 degrees, and a house without cooling climbs fast, which is hard on people, pets, and anything heat-sensitive inside. When the air conditioning goes down, the smart first move is to pick up the phone.
Call (512) 954-0407 and describe what you are seeing. Is the outdoor unit silent, or running but not cooling? Is air coming from the vents but warm? Is the thermostat blank, or is there water pooling near the indoor unit? Those details help us understand the failure before anyone drives out.
We will not promise a specific arrival window on a web page, because honest scheduling depends on the day and the workload. What we will do is talk to you straight about the problem and where you stand.
A flat $50 diagnostic fee
We only ask for a $50 diagnostic fee. If we find parts in need of changing, or any maintenance, service, or install that needs to be done, we can talk about moving forward with pricing in an in-person conversation.
Kill power to a frozen unit
If you see ice on the refrigerant lines or indoor coil, turn the system off at the thermostat and let it thaw. Running a frozen system can damage the compressor.
Then call and describe it
The more you can tell us about the symptoms, the better we can plan the visit.
Repair or replace: honest guidance, no upsell
Not every HVAC problem calls for a new system, and not every old system is worth another repair. We will tell you which side of that line your unit is on and let you make the call. Here is how we think it through.
Age matters. A system in its mid-teens is near the end of a normal service life, and money put into it competes with the cost of a unit that runs more efficiently. A major refrigerant leak on an older system can tip that math toward replacement too.
Repair frequency is the tell people miss. One repair on an eight-year-old system is routine. The third repair in two summers on an older unit is the system telling you something. Efficiency is the last piece: a tired, undersized, or failing unit runs constantly in Austin heat, and that shows up on the electric bill every month it limps along.
Age of the system
Past roughly 12 to 15 years, replacement starts to make more sense than large repairs, especially if parts are getting hard to source.
Refrigerant leaks
Refrigerant work is one of the pricier repairs. Newer systems run on R-410A, and a major leak on an older unit can cost enough that replacement starts to make more sense than another repair.
Repair frequency
Occasional fixes are normal. Repeated failures in back-to-back seasons usually mean you are spending toward a replacement anyway.
Efficiency and comfort
If the unit runs nonstop and the house still is not comfortable, a right-sized replacement often pays back in lower run time.
HVAC handled inside your renovation
If you are remodeling, the mechanical work should be part of the plan, not an afterthought bolted on when the walls are already closed. H&H Pro Services handles HVAC inside renovations in-house, which means one point of contact instead of you refereeing between a remodeler and a separate mechanical crew.
That coordination is worth real money and headaches. Ductwork routed before drywall goes up, returns sized for the new layout, and equipment placed where it can be serviced later all go smoother when the same team owns the remodel and the mechanical scope. A renovation in Westlake is in progress now and being documented as it happens.
Doing tile, demo, or a remodel and want the air handling done right as part of it? Bring it up when you call, and we will scope the mechanical work alongside the rest.
